RentAnything is a facilitator platform connecting owners and renters. We are not liable for any loss, damage, or theft of items. All transactions are entered into at your own risk. It is the sole responsibility of both parties to verify identities, inspect items, and ensure safe exchanges.

Identity Verification

While we encourage Government ID verification, it is your responsibility to verify the other person's identity in person before handing over any item.

Secure Handoff Checklist

  • Verify Documents: Check the original Government ID of the person collecting the item.
  • Take Photos: Click clear "Before" and "After" photos of the item during pickup and return.
  • Exchange Contacts: Ensure you have the active operating phone number of the person you are dealing with.

Legal Protection

For items with a high deposit value, use our standardized digital Rental Agreement. This legally binds both parties to the terms of service, but enforcement is a civil matter between users.

Dispute Resolution

Our support team can mediate disputes and hold security deposits in escrow, but we cannot physically recover lost or stolen items.
