1. Platform Disclaimer

RentAnything is not liable for:

• The quality, safety, or legality of any items listed.
• The truth or accuracy of any user content or listings.
• Any loss, damage, or injury resulting from a transaction.

User Responsibility: It is the sole responsibility of the Owner (Lessor) and Renter (Lessee) to:

• Verify each other's identity (Government ID, etc.).
• Document the item's condition (take photos/videos) before and after the rental.
• Resolve any disputes directly between themselves.

2. Rental Rules & Policies

By accessing or using our platform, you agree to these terms.

No Cancellations

Once a rental request is accepted and payment (if applicable) is made, it cannot be cancelled or refunded unless explicitly agreed upon by the Owner.

Fixed Duration

The rental duration is fixed as per the agreement. Extensions must be requested and approved by the Owner through the platform before the original rental period expires.

Security Deposit

• A refundable security deposit may be required by the Owner.
• This deposit is held to cover potential damages or loss.
• The deposit will be released within 24-48 hours after the item is returned in good condition.

2. Responsibilities

For Renter (Lessee)

• Identity Verification: You must provide valid Government ID to the Owner if requested.
• Care & Use: Use the item responsibly and according to its intended purpose.
• Condition: Return the item in the same condition as received.
• Timeliness: Collect and return the item at the agreed time and location.

For Owner (Lessor/Purchaser)

• Due Diligence: You are responsible for verifying the Renter's ID and suitability.
• Documentation: You must take clear photos/videos of the item before handover to prove its condition.
• Safety: Ensure the item is safe to use and clean before handover.

3. Damaged or Lost Items

Damage Liability: The Renter is liable for damages beyond normal wear and tear. If the item is returned damaged, the Owner reserves the right to deduct repair costs from the Security Deposit.

Total Loss: In case of theft or irreparable damage, the Renter is liable for the full replacement value of the item.

4. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the platform for any unlawful purpose, to solicit others to perform unlawful acts, or to violate any community guidelines.

5. Disclaimer

RentAnything is a marketplace connecting neighbors. We do not own the items listed (unless specified) and are not a party to the rental transaction itself. We facilitate the connection and trust-building tools (identity verification, agreement generation).
